How do I get there?
Dalaman airport (airport code DLM) is the closest airport to our home port of Marmaris, Turkey. There are many flights from Istanbul and other international/European airports to Dalaman. MedSea Yachts can assist in arranging transportation to the gulet. There is a Rhodes to Marmaris Ferry that travels between the two cities. The Ferry is a fast catamaran service that takes approximately an hour.
Language
The Captain and some of the crew speak English on the boat. During excursions to villages and islands you will generally find that shop keepers also speak some level of English.
Tourist Visas
A tourist visa is required to vacation in Turkey and must be purchased online prior to arrival. Applying for an eVisa prior to arrival is a simple process, more information can be found at www.evisa.gov.tr
Climate
Southwest Turkey has beautiful weather throughout the summer months with very little rainfall. Averages highs and lows (temperatures shown in Celsius/Fahrenheit) are listed below:
Money
Turkey has its own currency which is the Turkish Lira. Due to the high volume of European travellers, the Euro (€)is also widely accepted. Check with your local bank or online to determine current conversion rates.

It is always recommended that you have insurance for your trip including medical, trip cancellation, curtailment insurance.
